“IS IT TRUE? IS IT HAPPENING? WELL, IF YOU BELIEVE HOLLYWOOD , OUR WORLD IS SOON TO BE INVADED BY EXTRATERRESTRIAL BEINGS, WHO ARE COMING TO OUR WORLD, EITHER TO HELP US TAKE A QUANTUM LEAP OF EVOLUTION, OR TO ENSLAVE AND DESTROY US ALL”

 I’m Dennis Finnan, host and speaker on the World, the Word & You! Broadcast and in a moment we’ll talk about UFO’s, extraterrestrial beings and the Bible…

…Some years ago on March 27, 1997 , a California cult, named “Heaven’s Gate,” made the news headlines when the entire group of 39 active members committed suicide. When authorities began to find the bodies of these cult members, a weird story unfolded that told of their belief’s in extraterrestrial life.  They believed aliens were coming for them, to grant them eternal life in a higher plane of existence. All that was necessary for this was to get aboard their UFO which was coming to meet them. The only problem was they had to die first, so their souls and spirits could fly up to the alien spacecraft that was coming. The spacecraft was said to be trailing the Hale-Bopp Comet seen in the skies at that time. 

As further investigations continued, videos were found of the cult leader named “BO,” whose real name was Marshall Applewhite,  a bi-sexual music teacher from Texas , who claimed to be from another planet. “Bo” and his associate female teacher and mentor,  “Peep,” truly believed they were extraterrestrials who offered humans yet another chance to move to a higher evolutionary level. His teachings told of astounding revelations of friendly aliens, to the members of his cult. “Bo” was able not only to convince 39 members to commit suicide with him, to rendezvous with aliens, but also for eight male members to be castrated so they could be pure and ready for this transformation of life.

Now the big question is “How could these 39 intelligent, many college-educated people, have believed and followed this false prophet?” The answer in two words is, “DEMONIC EMPOWERMENT.” In a moment after another musical pause, I’ll tell you what’s ahead and how we can explain the continued and growing fascination with UFO’S and extraterrestrial life…

… Marshall Applewhite, the “HEAVEN’S GATE” Cult leader, was obviously deranged and confused about life and the hereafter. He left behind video recordings telling how he was contacted by extraterrestrial beings who revealed his own alien life form, and all who would believe, eternal life in a higher plane of existence. Applewhite told his followers, that these alien beings were sending a UFO spacecraft to meet them. All they had to do was prepare themselves for the transformation, which only would come through purification rites and death.

Now normal thinking beings, whether Christians or not, look at this and ask: “HOW COULD THE THIRTY-NINE FOLLOWERS BE SO DECEIVED?” The answer is two-fold.

First, they were not Christian’s, who have been given the ability to know truth from error, and secondly, they came under the supernatural power of fallen angelic beings called demons. These angelic beings who are in rebellion to God, follow their Master a chief angelic being named Satan!

These fallen angels we are told in Scripture, have access to the celestial heavens and the earth, and inhabit them. Their number is uncountable in human terms.  How did they come into existence? The Bible answers,

Psa 148:2-5 (NIV)  Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts. 3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars. 4 Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were created.

The Bible speaks that among all the creation, God spoke into existence, He formed two types of life that are created in His image. First, was the angelic world of spiritual beings known simply as “Angels. Second, following their creation and the completion of the universe and all the stars and planets, God created man on the earth. Both beings were made to love and serve God. Both beings were endowed with a portion of God’s image, which no other creature would have.

Now we must note, the image of God does not denote “physical likeness” as some believe. In fact, we discover in the Bible that our Creator God is a pure Spirit Being. Consequently, Mormon views of God as a great human are wrong.  Nevertheless, both angels and human beings were given moral, spiritual and intellectual facilities, to reason and think with. In addition, both angels and humans were given a will to determine and to choose to personally love and serve God or not. Unfortunately, not without God’s plan and notice, a great portion of the angelic world chose with this “free will,” to say no to God being God in their lives, and rebelled.

The Bible tells us it all began with highest angel created, a being named Lucifer, who became Satan when He fell from his position of obedience and power God had granted him to rule the angelic world on God’s behalf. We read of this in

Isa 14:12-14 (NIV)  How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth… 13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

Ezek 28:12-15 (NIV)  “…This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “’You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden , the garden of God ; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. 14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.

Yes, the Bible says this highest of angelic creatures, rose in rebellion and refused to love and serve God, and was judged and cast out of God’s Heaven into the celestial heavens and to the earth itself. Lucifer then became Satan. However, what is astounding is an entire third of Heaven’s angelic beings followed Him in rebellion and disobedience! We read of this in,

Rev 12:4 (NIV) “ His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth…”

Rev 12:7-9 (NIV)  And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

These "stars of heaven" are identified as Satan's angels in Revelation 12:9. In Satan's primeval rebellion against God, he was able to persuade a third of God's "innumerable company of angels" (Hebrews 12:22 ) to follow him. They were "cast out into the earth" as a result. Some went to the lowest hell, “Tartares,” [Greek]  (2 Peter 2:4) and some were bound in the Euphrates (Revelation 9:14) as a result of further specific and flagrant sins against God, and the rest roam the earth and heavens till this day seeking to destroy God’s creation, mankind. These demons will not only be more active and dangerous than ever in these final days before Christ returns, but work to deceive mankind, and for all they find to reject God as God in their lives, to join them in their rebellion. Now the great question is  -- “how are these fallen angels or demons going to do this?”

Well, I believe their greatest strategy for the 21st century is to parade about as extraterrestrial alien life forms, to deceive the unsaved world that readily believes in Satan’s invention and teachings of evolution rather than the bible’s truthful teaching of God’s creation. Hence Satan and His minion demons seek to enter and take possession of every human being who will open their minds and hearts to their nefarious lies and deceit. UFO’s and all the hoopla and Hollywood portrayals that so fascinate the public are nothing more than deception of demons in perhaps the greatest ANGELIC CONSPIRACY ever foisted upon the minds of men.

Marshall Applewhite, the “Heaven’s Gate” Cult leader, was able to persuade his 39 followers as every cult leader can, to blindly follow even unto death his teachings. How can this be? The answer is their supernatural powers of deceit. Yes, the late Applewhite, in California , as well as the late Jim Jones in Guyana were able to persuade people that the god they preached was the one to follow. In the “Heaven’s Gate” cult the new version was popularized – extraterrestrial highly evolved life wanted to rescue mankind and bring them to a higher plane of existence.

Now what about all these UFO sightings, and reports of encounters? Are they real? The answer is yes and no. Yes, in the sense I believe those who have seen such things as UFO’s have actually seen such a physical manifestation. What about those who claim to have been abducted by alien beings and held captive and returned? The answer is yes, to their senses and minds they have truly experienced these dreamlike events due to demon invasion of their mind and heart. Satan and the fallen angels can physically manifest themselves before our eyes in human or alien forms, whatever will intrigue us to cause us to explore and listen further to their teachings.

Even more these various sightings of UFO spacecrafts, which defy the laws of gravity and all science we know, they are not hallucinations! What people see are demons taking on the physical appearance of alien spacecraft. Since we are so fascinated by the belief that aliens exist in the evolutionary forms of life, Satan readily provides deceitful verification.

Now the real question is  -- “have human beings been abducted by aliens and returned to earth as some believe?” The answer is no, but the experience they have had is real to them as Satan and his fallen angels can create such ideas in the mind as real encounters.

Now what can we deduce from all this? The answer is found in what comes forth from such encounters with so-called alien life. Here is what has been gathered from people who have had encounters with extraterrestrials of the fourth kind,

1. Most of them tell of friendly beings, who have come to earth to help mankind take a quantum leap in our evolutionary life so as to reach a higher plane of existence. They tell that these space beings will remain secret for awhile, and only the chosen are initiated into their plan for our future.

2. Those who have been “supposedly” abducted, come to believe that evolution is true and a biblical creation a lie. They are told by these space beings that there is no such thing as the God of the Bible, and all those who follow it will eventually be eliminated.

3. These so-called alien beings also teach their abductees, that they are going to soon come to the earth and forcibly and instantaneously remove the troublemakers of life and living called Christians. So they are to expect an alien rapture of Christians taking them away in death or incarceration somewhere in the universe, thus freeing the world from their religious bigotry, oppression and hate.

4. Of those who have experienced this “fourth kind of encounter,” almost all of them suffer from some form of mental anguish, confusion, and even illness, because of these encounters.

5. The teachings of all these higher forms of alien life, teach that the Bible is a harmful fairy tale; that Jesus Christ is not God; and, His death on Calvary ’s cross saves no one.

Now amazingly, only believer’s can hear the “hiss” of the Devil in these things and rightly so.

Friends, UFO’s are not true alien life come to earth to rescue or help us. All of it seen by man and experienced, is nothing less than a great “Angelic Conspiracy,” to lead the unsaved world of God’s creation to reject God as God, and to reject God’s Word as of God, with the ultimate rejection of God’s love found in Jesus Christ. Indeed, UFO’s are the rage these days, but what they bring is deadly and deceptive.

While much of the current interest in UFOs came in the last 50 years, do you know that UFO reports have occurred throughout history? For example, one early report goes back as far as Pharaoh Thutmose III in ancient Egypt . Also at the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, there were three major waves of UFO reports that preceded the UFO excitement of 1947. Why even in the 1930’s Orson Wells made popular the “War of the World” story that cause panic all across America as many thought a real alien invasion had occurred. UFO investigator Allen Hynek estimates that on average about 100 UFO sightings are reported around the globe each night; And, approximately, one person out of ten in the U.S. claims to have seen a UFO.  

Can there truly be highly evolved alien life, and spacecrafts visiting us? Well, the theory that life originates on its own is absurd. There is a growing body of evidence showing the impossibility of life evolving from non-life. Astronomy demonstrates that there are few, if any, habitable planets in the universe on which extraterrestrials might have evolved before us. There is an additional problem of the impossible technology and logistics of traveling to earth from any another planet millions of light years away.

Also, the unexplained UFO phenomena appear to be non-physical, rather spiritual in nature. Some UFOs can be seen but do not appear on radar or film, while others appear on radar or film but cannot be seen with the eye.  

All this brings me to warn you that we are coming into the last days and Jesus warned us what would happen just before He returned to the earth to call home His church and to begin judgment on the unsaved who remained. We read,

Mat 24:4-12 (NIV)  “Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many… 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.”

Paul the apostle warned and said similar things about the danger of deception by false teachers who are inspired by the teachings of demons, that would inundate the world before Christ returned.

2 Cor 11:13-14 (NIV)  For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light…”

1 Tim 4:1-3 (NIV)  The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons… They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

 The “HEAVEN’S GATE” followers who committed suicide in anticipation of hooking up with aliens coming to meet them in their UFO’s, also had eight men castrated. This idea is taught as a rite of purification in many age old cults. Why even Roman Catholicism which demands priests and nuns take vows of celibacy, is a hold over of this demonic teaching that marriage and having monogamous martial relationships is impure.

It’s amazing as I see how the Devil, the Dragon of the heavens, has deceived so many, using Hollywood as his minion, and the world of evolutionists who continue to teach that if we have evolved on this planet, it is reasonable to assume there is other life, perhaps more highly evolved on other planets. Satan has capitalized on this by providing us with the lie and deceit of extra-terrestrial alien life and their UFO vehicles of transportation.

How much better to believe our true Creator God and His Word, that sin entered the universe through Satan, who deceived himself to believe he is god. His infection of sin soon took a third of the new created angels with him, as God cast them all out of His HEAVEN into the universe and the planet earth. Now for millenniums of time, the devil has deceived man to believe the lie that there is no God of creation, and that man is his own god and in charge of his own destiny.

Friend am I speaking about you? This free will of choice to reject faith in God as your creator and worse to deny the very love of God found in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, will bring us along with the fallen angels into a Christless eternity of suffering and judgment. Listen to what God has planned for Satan and the demons, and all who like them reject God’s love, care and provision through Jesus Christ.

2 Pet 2:4-9 (NIV)  For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment… 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.”

Rev 20:10 (NIV)  And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Friend, there is a Day coming when God will judge man, and the angelic world of fallen angels. All who rejected God as their God, and made their wills sovereign in their lives will be cast into the eternal Hell called the Lake of Fire , the eternal penitentiary God made for fallen angles and humanity who reject Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Jesus  said,

Mat 25:41,46 (NIV)  "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels… 46 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Well, UFO’s, extra-terrestrials, and encounters-of-the-third and fourth-kind, will continue to be manifested among us and will increase for spiritual deception is prophesied to do so before Christ returns.

All this points to the fact time is short. Do you know Jesus Christ as your God and Savior? God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins, and to offer His death payment as a substitute for ours to come. All those who have turned their heart and lives over to the one true God, Jesus Christ will be saved and rescued from their judgment to come, the eternal judgment of Hell.

I thank God for saving me! Indeed, I’m not looking for UFO’s to carry me to glory, but I’m looking for the 2^nd Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ who will carry me to the real and true glory of Heaven and eternal life with Him. How about you?
