INVASION

 I’m Dennis Finnan, host and speaker on the World, the Word & You! Broadcast and in a moment we’ll talk about this unthinkable subject and what the Bible reveals about it…

…The Bible is an amazing Book! It tells us of our past and when all things began, even before all things were made, and it tells us what’s ahead, even for all eternity. Wise is the man or woman who reads it and understands these things in light of their existence and future. However, in reading the Bible, one can at times become confused, or even led astray, if they do not follow the proper principles of interpretation. This is especially true in the area of Bible prophecy. For anyone to learn what’s ahead for the future, they must be careful in making judgments of what it says and to whom it is spoken. Wrongly applying the Word of God can bring disastrous consequences, in this life especially. Well today we are going to rightly divide the Word of God in a particular area of Bible prophecy as we look ahead to the time period coming on the entire world, called, THE GREAT TRIBULATION (Ezek, 38-39; Dan. 9-11; Matt. 24-25).

In this period of time, a seven-year period of unimaginable horror for the world, God reveals that literally all “Hell” breaks loose on the earth. This is serious revelation that needs our attention today. So after one more pause, I’ll return to make sense of God’s warning predictions of what’s coming, perhaps sooner than we all think. So, stay tuned for my message ahead entitled: INVASION FROM THE PIT…

…History is often an interesting topic; especially, when we can discover something about the past that explains it. I’ve always been intrigued by the events and happenings of W.W. II. Research has revealed some startling realities about Adolph Hitler that explain his actions and his course of conflict in this world. For instance, it has long been known that Hitler was involved in the demon world of the Occult. As such, he believed strongly in horoscopes and even established a “Federal Commissary for Occultism.” What is not well known is Adolph Hitler was an initiate of the inner mysteries of occultism along with his high Nazi leaders. A man by the name of Dietrich Eckart, one of the seven founders of the Nazi party, was a dedicated Satanist and a supreme adept of the rites of “Black Magic,” in an allegiance known as the THULE GROUP. This organized Satanic group, carried out widespread atrocities as part of their ritual magic which intrigued Hitler, and brought him to join them. Eckart was the high priest of these Satan worshippers and Adolph Hitler became the Messiah, whose coming its medium supposedly foretold.

Now Scripture clearly teaches, that there is a world of spirit beings who inhabit the heavenly realms. The Bible declares that when God created the angelic world of beings, a third of them revolted against God’s rulership and will, and followed a chief angel, named Lucifer, who walked away from obedience to God the Creator. This rebellion was instantly judged by God and in effect, God sent to the lowest Hell, a place called Tartares, the most wicked and evil of the lot, but for God’s unknown reasons, He permitted some of the other fallen angels, including Satan to continue to live openly in His world and universe, till a final judgment is rendered at the end of the age. Now, while they are free to roam the universe, they are intrigued by mankind’s existence, and seek to win the free-will spirits of men to their cause and side.

For sure, this battle for supremacy goes on and will increase near the end times in what Scripture says will be an “invasion from the pit.”

Without a doubt, it is evident that our world is being rapidly prepared for such an invasion from the spirit world. Just look around at our entertainment media, from music to films, the emphasis is on glorifying and promoting the occult world of demonism, exotic powers of this dark world. Yes, Hollywood is aflame with it, and it seems everyone wants to be involved. Now to “cut to the chase,” let’s go right to the Bible to see what I’m talking about.

For the first line of proof that an invasion of demon spirits is coming on all the world, is found in,

1 Tim 4:1 (NLT)  Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what we believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons.

Yes, in the last days just before Christ returns to take possession of the earth He created, demonic spirits will begin to forcefully work to persuade men to follow them. As a result, we are told many will be obsessed with or even possessed by the powers of demonic evil spirits,

2 Tim 3:13 (NLT)  But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will go on deceiving others, and they themselves will be deceived.

This will culminate in a period called the GREAT TRIBULATION, that begins after God removes from the earth, every living Christian and leaves the world to fallen rebellious mankind to rule itself. Yes, this is a period of time coming on all the world, when man without God and any influence for righteousness and good, will prevail. The results will be disastrous of course, not to mention God will bring on the world, His long promised judgments for a Christ rejecting world.

Now let’s read the most enlightening Scripture that tells us what’s going to happen at that future date. We go to John the apostle’s revelation of the future, God gave him on the Isle of Patmos, almost 2000 years ago,

Rev 12:1-9 (NLT)  Then I witnessed in heaven an event of great significance. I saw a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant, and she cried out in the pain of labor as she awaited her delivery. 3 Suddenly, I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his heads. 4 His tail dragged down one-third of the stars, which he threw to the earth. He stood before the woman as she was about to give birth to her child, ready to devour the baby as soon as it was born. 5 She gave birth to a boy who was to rule all nations with an iron rod. And the child was snatched away from the dragon and was caught up to God and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place to give her care for 1,260 days. 7 Then there was war in heaven. Michael and the angels under his command fought the dragon and his angels. 8 And the dragon lost the battle and was forced out of heaven. 9 This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the Devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.

 This prophecy is given with much symbolism, which isn’t hard to discover. For the sake of time, let me share it with you. The “woman,” is a figure of speech that reflects the nation of Israel, its product birth of Jesus Christ, and its persecutions down through the centuries culminated in the time of the Great Tribulation (Isa. 54:5; 66:7; Jer. 3:6-10; Micah 4:10;5:2-3). Then in verse three, John says another important event occurs.

Rev 12:3 (NLT)  Suddenly, I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his heads.

Rev 12:9 (NLT)  This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the Devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.

Now the symbolism reflects another being clearly identified for us as the Devil, or Satan himself. This event begins with a description of the fall of Satan (Isa. 14:12-15) near the beginning of time, when this malevolent spirit and his followers, hoards of fallen angels, followed him. However the casting out of the heavenly realms, is yet a future event. Today, Satan has access to the heavens, where he accuses God’s people day and night. His strategy in the interim is to persecute them and possibly devour them (1 Pet. 5:8). However, Satan has special hatred for the Jewish people for bringing into the world, Jesus Christ the Savior of mankind. Now, down through the centuries he has incited evil men to rise up and persecute them even kill them. Adolph Hitler fell right into Satan’s lap when he began seeking his demonic power. Once in the fold of the fallen angels, the demon world took possession of him to carry out its plan to destroy the Jews. Although I do not believe Hitler was the antichrist, he was an antichrist, deluded by demon spirits, teachings that he was the chosen messiah. Crazed with the power of demons, he went forth in the world with bloodshed and wickedness to conquer. Fortunately, it wasn’t God’s timing to permit the wrath of Satan to take control, so God through the forces of righteousness prevailed. However, this invasion from the pit will strike again during the time of this coming Tribulation, when the Church saints of God are gone. It is then, Satan will break through and take control of the entire world!

There will be no stopping him then, until God calls an end to it. Thank God, He has told us in His Word this will last only for a little while, as God allow this demonic control and carnage to run amuck to show the evil and awfulness of sin.

The point of all this is to say, I believe we are witnessing the beginning preparation of the world to accept Satan’s messiah, the antichrist. Demon activity is therefore at an all time high. The bands of God’s righteousness that have carefully preserved American society and the free world, are loosening by those who deny and reject Jesus Christ (Psalm 2). We see Christianity is laughed at by the majority of the world, even now in America too. Witness the ridicule God’s Word, His righteousness and His church must endure at the hands of Hollywood, and the entertainment world. All this is demonic preparation, to open the hearts of the unsaved to one day yet future acceptance of this invasion from the pit of the fallen spirit world.

Yes, the closing Book in the Bible draws aside the veil and sets before us that demonism is real, that wicked, evil spirits inhabit the universe we live in, and they seek to capture the minds and hearts of sinners yet to be saved. In fact, when the Day of the Lord begins, and the Great Tribulation is in full swing. about 3 ½ years into it, mankind will be so engrossed in rebellion to God and intoxicated with the powers of the demon world, we are told of their response to God,

Rev 9:21 (NLT)  And they did not repent of their murders or their witchcraft or their immorality or their thefts.

The word, “witchcraft,” is a Greek word denoting devotion to magic arts. Yes, the world coming will be devoted to what Hitler and His Nazi leaders fell prey to. Sorcery will rule in their hearts, and their hatred for God and His ancient people Israel, will again foam up in the blackness of spiritism’s dark day coming.

Now the question is, will you be here to experience it? The Bible warns and promises us that none need be here at that time. If anyone will realize their need to be saved from their sins, and repent by trusting Jesus Christ now, as their God and Savior, He will spare us the trials and heartaches that will fall on all the earth. The Bible says,

Rev 3:10-12 (NNAS)  ‘Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, … which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 ‘I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 ‘He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.

Acts 16:31 (NLT)   "Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with your entire household."

John 1:12 (NLT)  But to all who believed him and accepted him, [Jesus Christ] he gave the right to become children of God.

Rom 10:9 (NLT)  … if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Friend, it’s that simple and profound. God will rescue all sinners from the coming fate of tribulation, suffering and death, if they will but surrender their hearts now, in rebellion to God’s rule, to their Creator and Savior Jesus Christ. Do you know him? Have you received Him into your heart and life? One can never do this, or have this, until they call upon the Lord to save them from their sins. Now the “good news” is once saved, God promises us we shall be spared this Great Tribulation and more, the coming Hell on earth and in eternity for all who have not been born again. In closing these thoughts, permit me to read to you what’s ahead for those saved, and unsaved. We read from,

2 Th 2:1-12 (NLT)  And now, brothers and sisters, let us tell you about the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered together to meet him. 2 Please don’t be so easily shaken and troubled by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Even if they claim to have had a vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us, don’t believe them. 3 Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction. 4 He will exalt himself and defy every god there is and tear down every object of adoration and worship. He will position himself in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. 5 Don’t you remember that I told you this when I was with you? 6 And you know what is holding him back, for he can be revealed only when his time comes. 7 For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way. 8 Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will consume with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 This evil man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. 10 He will use every kind of wicked deception to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they refuse to believe the truth that would save them. 11 So God will send great deception upon them, and they will believe all these lies. 12 Then they will be condemned for not believing the truth and for enjoying the evil they do.

Friend, I plead with you to be saved from your sins before this coming “Invasion from the Pit,” appears ¾ when the world will be overrun by demons and Satan himself who will take open rulership through his minion, the antichrist. What’s more, God says He will send a strong delusion. Some believe it means if you’ve heard the gospel call now, and have rejected it, well when the Church of Jesus Christ is “Raptured away,” you’ll not have a second chance, and will perish on the earth in this terrible time period and spend eternity in Hell.

But regardless of that interpretation which may be very valid, realize that right now God is calling you, touching your heart, speaking to you to turn to Him, to lay down your arms of rebellion a nd self-rule, and surrender all to His loving care and control. If and when you do, God will meet you right there and give you the fantastic ability to live for him. He will grant you a brand new life and spirit to love, and enjoy the tings of God, and His people. For those who have been born again, this explains the change of character, love, and emphasis of their lives. All who come to Christ, confessing their sins, and calling upon Him to save them, will enjoy eternity in His presence and avoid this terrible time of this coming invasion. So friend, the choice is yours. Be a part of the kingdom of heaven and eternal life, or continue in your path away from God into the waiting hands of demons , death and eternal judgment.  You choose, my friend, and choose well, for your eternal destiny depends upon it…

…You know today, I believe the renewed interest in the world of the occult and demonism expressed by many through our film entertainment and world of music, is proof we are approaching the time period where the forces of evil are gathering to invade our world. Never forget, the occult world is a real and dangerous world; And remember, we are forbidden by God to tamper or explore it. I believe the feverish interest today in it is the beginning of all these things I’ve shared with you. Indeed, this dark shadow is cast forward upon our times by the promised coming future events. Remember, Hitler allowed himself somewhere in his past to be invaded personally by demon spirits. He followed those whose lives and hearts were blackened by demonism, and became intoxicated with the deceiving powers of the dark world. Demon intelligence, beings of great malevolence await all who will seek them. The Satanic hosts are now engaged in the super-physical world in making preparations for the Man of sin, the antichrist who will rule the world. What will you do in light of these truths revealed in the Bible? May God so bless your heart with a desire to seek Jesus Christ before it’s too late.
