“have you noticed lately the tremendous push in American life to publicly accept and condone homosexuality? how is it what once was considered not only a social taboo, but a crime on the books of American law, has now become a protected and HONORED right?”

 I’m Dennis Finnan, host and speaker on the World, the Word & You! Broadcast and in a moment we’ll talk about the growing societal acceptance of the terrible and dangerous lifestyle of homosexuality…

…Today on the broadcast I’m going to again speak about a subject of great emotion and sensitivity to the American public. It is a subject that, every time I do this, I will get some form of attack against this broadcast ministry and myself. However each time I do speak to this issue, the situation that warrants it, grows worse and more dangerous to all of us in these United States of America . Today I’m going to talk about homosexuality, not only from God’s perspective found in the Word of God, but also from reality and truth surrounding those who practice this way of life, so recently acceptable to Americans from coast to coast. Now if you are squeamish, and easily offended at frank talk and blunt truth, please turn off this broadcast, or stop reading my transcript of it on the internet or however you’ve come across my words. What I have to say today will hopefully shock many if not all my listeners, and well it should for the express purpose of shedding truth and light on what is perhaps the most disgusting, vile, evil and what God calls, “sinful” acts and actions of the human race that has turned away from God. But before I tell you once again about the dangers of and sin of homosexuality, let’s pause and listen to this…

…Something strange and deadly has been happening in our nation that once was the bastion for the promotion and lifestyle of the Judeo-Christian world view. Yes, America and its founders who started this nation did so based exclusively on the philosophy and teachings of the Christian Bible and its God the Lord Jesus Christ. Now I know you’ve heard it said by the clever “spinmeisters,” that America was never a Christian nation. Yet, history and facts remain constant that this nation was indeed founded by Christians, for Christians and to promote God’s view of life and living found within the pages of Scripture. 

Yes, one can have this without persecuting those who embrace different religious faiths and practice by limiting their social differences to personal beliefs and actions. You see no nation of people can exist as a pluralistic society. We can’t be a Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Atheistic and Secular nation all at once and together. Nor can everything anyone wants to do be permitted. Law based on some philosophy or religious basis must exist to sanction and approve of that which is good for society and condemn and punish that which is evil, morally wrong and harmful to the life and living of its citizenship.

Now saying all that, what we have today is a growing conflict and crisis of law that our founding fathers established for historic American life. We see the acceptance, promotion, and social approval of “Homosexuality,” what now is called an “alternate lifestyle,” for Americans to embrace with joyful acceptance.

Anyone who dares to question the acceptance of those who publicly claim to be homosexual is considered “Homophobic.” This is a new term that identifies anyone who does not agree with and more does not approve of the life and living of those who practice homosexuality.

In recent years, society has warmly welcomed homosexuals into the social limelight with protections under the umbrella of civil liberty. It is become increasingly acceptable to be homosexual in society today.

In order to bring this social acceptance of what once was a social taboo and even crime on the books of law across America , our nation has had to be taught that it is wrong to discriminate against such a lifestyle in the public place. How has this become a reality? Well,

a positive spin of the “homosexual” image has been promoted in the news and entertainment media now for over a quarter of a century. Numerous new homosexual TV shows have popped up, like “Will and Grace,” “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” “Queer as Folk,” “All My Children,” and a growing number of other broadcasts which are all geared to show the social value, decency and goodness of those who opt for this “alternate lifestyle,” for their lives.

What’s worse is the infiltration homosexuality has made into the public education of our children in America these days. In California , it is just about illegal to negatively speak against it. Rather it is now promoted by observing “gay days” in the school year. Public schools in America have even gone so far as to allow “gay proms” as teachers across America are titillating student’s curiosities toward homosexuality. Public schools now effectively promote homosexuality as an acceptable “alternate lifestyle.” Many of our public "academic institutions" actually protect and promote sexual promiscuity as part of it.

Have you noticed how virtually “all” public images of the homosexual are only positive ones? Anything negative is outlawed and considered morally offensive and a form of mental illness.

The sad truth is our youngest generation who has now grown to adulthood and has come to accept homosexuality as just another form of social life that can contribute to the health and betterment of society. Friend, a lie shouted and promoted long enough soon becomes truth to believe and accept. Yet, reality is still here for the truth about homosexuality has been carefully excluded from the news media, and public eye. Today I want to share with you the dangers and vile practice of those who claim to be an asset to American life. 

But first let me say this. I DO NOT HATE homosexuals, nor in any way wish them harm or injury. I do not believe in “gay bashing,” no “persecution.” I do believe we can hate the sins of people while truly loving them and caring for them. Such is my heart and God knows that. Yet we must speak up and speak out against anything that can and does injure and harm individuals and more an entire society robbing it of its blessings of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. To begin let me say this. If you are squeamish, turn off this program now for I’m going to tell you what is not told to the public about the “alternate lifestyle,” called homosexuality. Are those who practice this way of life good clean, wholesome and moral citizens? You decide based on what and how they perform their alternate sexual lifestyle. Do you know what it means to practice homosexuality? It is far different from any heterosexual relationships. For instance

1. HOMOSEXUAL LIVING IS CENTERED IN PROMISCUITY 
 A 1972 study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control revealed that 50% of male homosexuals have had over 500 different sexual partners. For AIDS victims the average is 1,100 different sexual partners.

2. HOMOSEXUALS ARE OFTEN FOUND TO BE CHILD PREDATORS - 
In one study, two homosexual researchers found that 73% of adult male homosexuals sought and had sex with boys 19 or younger. There is no reproduction, so recruitment must begin early. Homosexuals seek out young boys to imprint their corruption on them early enough to stick.

3. HOMOSEXUALS PRACTICE UNNATURAL SEXUAL PERVERSION -
 93% reported homosexuals practiced the vile act of anal sexual relations.

4. HOMOSEXUALS PRACTICE DEPRAVED, FILTY AND DISGUSTING RELATIONSHIPS – 
Did you know that 92% of homosexuals practice both oral and anal sexual activity together. Another 17% -33% reported eating and or rubbing themselves with the feces of their partners. Moreover, 29% reported practicing “Golden showers,” that is urinating on or in their partners, and another 5% even resort to drinking their partner’s urine. What’s more in committing these vile, perverted sex acts, another 53% reported they swallow semen. Now if that’s not enough to turn your stomach, another 42% reported they practice "handballing or fisting.” This is where the actual hand and or even an arm itself is rammed into the rectum of their partner; 32% reported giving and receiving of enemas for sexual pleasure; And most vile of all, more than 15% reported seeking and having unmentionable sexual relationships with animals. Oh God help us. I shudder to mention these things, but you must know what it really means to be a "homosexual" and practice this perversion. Next...

5. HOMOSEXUALITY IS A BRUTAL AND VIOLENT WAY OF LIFE 
– More than 37% of homosexuals in relationships practice sadomasochism (this is the act of inflicting torture upon the other for sexual stimulation). A recent study in the American Journal of Public Health reports that one out of five homosexual men report being severely beaten by a sex partner; and, another 5% are willing but reluctant to acknowledge being brutally raped. Lesbians are frequent victims of domestic violence too.  [1]

God help these poor sick and depraved people, caught up in these wretched sins of physical abuse and sexual perversion. No my friend it is neither good, normal nor healthy to practice homosexuality; nor are these people good wholesome everyday citizen’s. You do not hear these truths from the media, nor is it taught in schools, or in any way revealed to the general public. 

In fact, it is purposely hidden, knowing the revulsion it brings would cause a ground swell to cast out of social life anyone who practices such an abomination! But now you know, and you must decide. Shall we as a nation publicly accept homosexuality as an “alternate lifestyle,” to be taught and promoted in schools to our children? If you cannot accept this, you must begin to speak out against it and warn your family and others to stay away from those who practice these sins.

However, I’ve only told you about the terrible perversions homosexuality practices not the other negatives aspects it brings. For instance, to live a homosexual lifestyle causes each one to shorten their own physical life by bringing deadly illness and destruction to themselves and often others around them. Regardless of what you hear today, the AIDS crisis is a homosexual crisis brought to us and maintained in our world by homosexual behavior. Critics of the homosexual lifestyle rightly argue that the greatest risk to society for our health concerns, arise from homosexual activity.

Oxford University 's International Journal of Epidemiology says that "Life expectancy at age 20 for homosexual and bisexual men is upwards of 20 years less than for heterosexual men. If the same pattern continues, it is estimated that nearly half of all bisexual and homosexual men currently at the age of 20 will not live to see their 65th birthday."

Even worse, homosexual men have a 1000% greater risk of contracting AIDS than the general population. Also, the journal "Archives of General Psychiatry" indicates that both homosexual men and lesbian women have extremely high rates of psychiatric illness, drug and alcohol abuse and ultimately suicide.

The Medical Institute of Health said in 1999 that "homosexual men are also at significantly higher risk of other infectious and deadly diseases such as hepatitis, anal cancer, gonorrhea and gastrointestinal infections all a result of their sexual practices and perversions."

What’s more, "Women who have sex with women are at a significantly higher risk of bacterial vaginosis, breast cancer and ovarian cancer than heterosexual women."

These statistics are shocking and staggering; but, they are facts and the known health risks associated with the terrible and ruinous lifestyle of the homosexual, which now has spread to many in the heterosexual community as well.

Friend, today’s acceptance of this perversion of sexuality, is now seen in the active promotion of homosexual marriages spreading across this nation. Acceptance of this may well be “the crossing of the line” of societal unrighteousness that is promised to bring the din of God’s judgment upon any nation. Indeed, the Bible teaches us a homosexually lenient and approving society will undoubtedly incur the wrath and judgment of the Creator God! For the day we fully legalize homosexuality and accept it as a part of our nation’s social life and living, we will surely cross over that line into human depravity and degeneracy. The Bible warns “God will give up” every nation that does this. Listen to the Bible for a change concerning these warnings.

Lev 18:22 (NIV)  "'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.”

Lev 20:13 (NIV)  "'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own head.” (There were no known living homosexuals in Israel , for God judged them with the death penalty)

Rom 1:26-27 (NIV)  “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”

2 Pet 2:4-6 (NIV) “…God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell… 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people… 6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;”

1 Cor 6:9-10 (NIV)  Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God ? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God .

Yes, these Scriptures are given to us by God for an example of what happens to nations and individuals who practice and condone what God hates and has forbidden. Name one nation of history that once it began accepting and promoting homosexuality, didn’t suffer national death? You can’t find any! But you can find in history that every nation that has given in to acceptance of this lifestyle has suffered destruction! The Bible warns us even today,

Psa 9:17 (NIV)  “The wicked return to the grave, all the nations that forget God.”

2 Pet 2:7-9 (NIV)  “and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds [homosexuality] he saw and heard)-- 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.”

Now that I’ve presented the BAD NEWS, there is GOOD NEWS too. God is just, righteous and a holy God who will by no means allow sin to go unpunished. However, God is merciful and loving, and provides a way to escape this evil lifestyle of homosexuality. By the grace of God any homosexual can be changed and experience forgiveness and God’s blessings. What does it require? One thing -- a willingness of the heart and mind to accept God’s evaluation of such sin, and them to accept God’s plan and method of saving you from it. 

Yes, regardless of what our sins are, homosexuality is no greater a sin than that of adultery, alcoholism, materialism, thievery and dishonest living and business (1 Cor. 6:9-10). “ALL” of these habitual and willful acts of sinners have promised to bring them death in eternity and in many cases severe temporal judgments as well! However, don’t stop there, the Bible also says God loves the sinner, including the homosexual and if anyone is willing to receive God’s forgiveness and His ability to cast off these sins – He will come to you and save you.

What is the process? It is called salvation through Jesus Christ. Yes, one must believe and act upon the following:

1. Every fallen human being must confess that he or she is a sinner, a lawbreaker in God’s sight and deserves whatever punishment God deems righteous for us to suffer. (Psa. 32:5; 1 John 1:9)
   

2. Every fallen sinner must believe what the Bible tells us about how God has worked out a plan to save us. This plan is called SUBSTITUTIONARY PAYMENT FOR SIN. Yes, God Himself has come to earth fashioned Himself in human flesh, and offered up this life as payment for our sins. Who is the infinite God-Man? It is Jesus Christ. By exercising faith in His Person and Work for us, God is able to save us from our sins. (John 1:1-3,12; Acts 16:31)
   

3. We must by faith believe God’s plan, and believe in His Son Jesus Christ that He alone is our Savior from sin and deliverer from sinful acts and ways. When we trust Him alone for our salvation, we also trust Him as qualified to take control of our lives.
   

4. We must then believe that whatever God tells us, we will do, and whatever He tells us not to do, by His grace and power we will cease from doing it.

Now the moment we so believe and offer up our lives to the God who created us, God sends into our being, the Holy Spirit who will give us the power to live above sin, and to carry out our new faith and belief. That is what Christianity is all about. Can homosexuals be saved from their lives of sin and degradation? Yes indeed! The Bible tells us.

1 Cor 6:9-11 (NIV)  Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God ? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God . 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Oh what glorious truth and blessing such words bring to those who trust Jesus. The truth is there is no one outside the grace of God, who wishes to be saved from their sins who cannot! However, if you do not want to be saved from your sins, God will surely allow the punishments of this life and eternity to be your portion when you die. The very statistics mentioned before of the awful effects of homosexual behavior are in many cases, the temporal judgments God has woven into our living. Yet, they are nothing compared to the “Hell” that is coming for ALL sinners who will no repent. So the question is – will you repent today, and turn your life over to Jesus Christ? If not, you will meet Him in eternity not as your Savior, but as your Judge.

However God’s promised judgments do not wait for eternity, they can begin in this life too, and if America continues to accept and promote what God hates, we will also suffer temporal judgments far beyond what we are experiencing today in our national health crisis. May God’s people and righteous citizen’s speak out against any and all public acceptance of homosexuality and vote only for those who will lovingly but firmly stand against it. May God add His blessing to these words for Jesus sake. Amen.
