“TODAY A NEW EPIDEMIC IS RAGING IN OUR WORLD -  THE ‘SARS’ VIRUS WHICH IS INFECTING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WORLDWIDE. HOWEVER, DO YOU KNOW THERE IS ANOTHER CONTAGIOUS EPIDEMIC, EVEN WORSE WHICH IS DESTROYING MILLIONS, BUT IT IS RELATIVELY UNKNOWN TO THE VAST MAJORITY.”

 I’m Dennis Finnan, host and speaker on the World, the Word & You! Broadcast and in a moment we’ll talk about this growing CONTAGIOUS EPIDEMIC…

…In the news these days is the appearance of a new deadly virus called SARS, or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, which broke out last November in China. China’s admitted cover up, unfortunately contributed to the severity of the outbreak, which now is mutating and spreading out worldwide. More than 6,583 cases have been discovered, worldwide and over 500 deaths. Many are now fearful and worried because of its air-born infection potential and its deadly danger. SARS virus can survive on objects for up to 48 hours and in fecal matter for up to four days! However, there is a more contagious epidemic out there that is also being covered up by the American government and sympathetic groups, which leave the populous of our nation ignorant and unaware of its deadly contagion. The reason for this is America has moved from a Christian oriented nation to a humanistically oriented society, which now downplays anything that would curtail its free lifestyles and immoral pursuits. What I’m alluding to is the now deadly and contagious epidemic raging in our nation, that everyone should know about, called HOMOSEXUALITY!

In a moment, I want to share with you the truth about it and dispel the many myths promoted and believed these days by our political correctness. So stay tuned for after another moment of music, I’ll return to tell you what everyone should know about ¾ HOMOSEXUALITY…

… Homosexual behavior once considered a taboo subject for discussion in many circles today has emerged as an American reality. One cannot open a newspaper, turn on the TV, or read a news magazine without being bombarded with the realization that our nation is experiencing a homosexual epidemic. Yet for most people, there is silence and acceptance for our government and its educational institutions, our entertainment and news media all seem content to be silent and even pleased with this growing epidemic. Why is this? Well, the answer lies in the fact that the American public has been fed so many myths about homosexuality, that we’ve come to believer and accept homosexuality as intellectual advancement of something actually good for our world and people. Well my friend, I’ve got good news or bad news for you depending upon your moral perspective, Homosexuality or “Sodomy” as the Bible calls it, is a deadly epidemic that is virtually killing thousands of Americans and worse wrecking the lives of families and in time will destroy this wonderful nation God has given us to live in. Am I an alarmist, a homophobic as some call us? Well, let me tell you the truth about homosexuality and you be the judge. Let’s begin.

First of all what is homosexuality? For a common definition it is “the male or female engagement in sexual activity with another member of the same sex for the sake of orgasmic experience.” This term “homosexuality” though goes further than this simple definition, because it is more than just the quest for a sexual experience, rather it involves a total lifestyle. No, just what are the myths we are being handed these days to accept about those who follow this lifestyle? Well basically there are six major myths that need to be exposed, so that our nation can come back to its senses about the evil and deadly dangers of public acceptance and or promotion of this lifestyle. Let me catalog them for you. The first myth or lie that is promoted these days is,

1. HOMOSEXUALITY IS GENETIC IN ORIGIN – We’ve all heard this that those who practice homosexuality are “born that way;” therefore, they should not be discriminated against, nor condemned. We’ve all heard this promoted as fact and truth. But do you know, this is a bold faced lie? The weight of science and medical testing proves beyond a doubt there is no link between brain structure or glands, genes or hormones that cause anyone to become a homosexual. Yes, there is NO GENETIC FACTOR, sexual or otherwise. It’s just impossible. Yet this truth is rarely spoken of, and our media hides it continuously from the American public. If this is true and it is, then what causes a person to seek and adopt the lifestyle of homosexuality? The answer is “human choice,” produced by a learned pattern of behavior. Now, if this is true, then such lifestyles and sexual orientation can be prevented and changed. Now there’s a second myth that needs dispelling these days,

2. MORE THAN 10% OF THE AMERICAN POPULATION ARE HOMOSEXUALS – This lie has been repeatedly broadcast over and over again by the media, and our institutions of education. Yet it has no reality. The latest studies strongly confirm that the true number of homosexuals in our country is probably no more than 1-2% of the total population. Now you’ll notice I’m not quoting facts and figures. I don’t have the time on this broadcast to do all that, but you can find out these things by your own simple research. Now, if these numbers are much lower than reported by homosexual groups and those who promote their ways, this changes America’s way of looking at them, and all the benefits supposedly necessary for them. Now’s there’s a third myth that needs to be dispelled.

3. HOMOSEXUALITY IS A HEALTHY AND REWARDING ALTERNATIVE LIFESTYLE – Contrary to this teaching and propaganda out there. Those who practice homosexuality are not healthy, nor is their lifestyle beneficial or rewarding to them or the nation. Homosexuals are very lonely and unhappy people. The pursuit of their lifestyles brings them into dangerous and deadly relationships and health. Today, homosexuals account for more than 80% of America’s terminally ill patients. Serious sexually transmitted diseases flourish in their communities and among them due to their corrupt way of life. Female homosexuals called Lesbians are 19 times more likely that heterosexual women to have syphilis, and other diseases. The final indictment by nature of the homosexual “lifestyle” is that it is a “deathstyle!” The effects of AIDS and other sexually transmitted disease is well documented. What diseases began in the homosexual community are now moving into the heterosexual community because we’ve ignored this contagious lifestyle that breeds these viruses and the bisexual members who spread it to the normal population. Now another myth that needs to be destroyed is,

4. HOMOSEXUALS ARE MORAL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS –  The truth is their corrupt lifestyle reveals that the homosexual community is filled violence, and sexual predation. You see the only way a homosexual can reproduce is to find another like them, or corrupt a young child to become like them. Yes, child molestation and recruitment is a major factor among those who practice this unnatural sexual gratification. Do you know that 40% of all child molestation assaults in America were made by those who are homosexuals? Also, homosexuals are 12 times more likely to molest children than heterosexuals. This is why our public schools today are the major depot for recruitment into this learned behavioral lifestyle. Gay Activists plow the schools seeking to be invited into them by our humanistic educators to tell how good their lifestyle is. This is nothing less than legalized seduction! Schools now openly celebrate GAY PRIDE MONTH, complete with homosexual speakers, and their educational propaganda, and wall decorations. It’s sick I tell you, but it is accepted because all these myths are believed and continually taught. By corrupting impressionable youth, they feed the homosexual community with new flesh. Now is this all there is? Not on your life my friend. There are more myths such as,

5. HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT CONDEMNED IN THE BIBLE – Contrary to this growing teaching, the Bible has much to say about those who practice what it calls the sin of SODEMY. Some contend that the Bible only condemns prostitution and forced immorality, and that sodomy is general is not addressed in the Word of God. The language the Holy Spirit uses in the N.T. to describe same-sex relations prove that God considers this a great wickedness, whether or not it is done with consent. What does God think of sodomy? Why in no uncertain terms He calls it (1) An abomination (Le. 18:22). God decreed of those who practice it that (2) the death penalty in the O.T. dispensation be given to them (Le. 20:13; Ro. 1:32). God also tells us sodomites reflect (3) A morally reprobate mind (Ro. 1:26-28); That is, (4) worthy of the judgment of Hell and eternal fire to come (Jude 1:7); And lastly and most importantly of all, God says, (5) It can be forgiven and cleansed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God (1 Co. 6:9-11).

1 Cor 6:9-11 (NIV)  “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

Now that brings us to the last myth I’d like to share with you today and that is,

6. THE MYTH THAT HOMOSEXUALS CANNOT CHANGE OR BE FORGIVEN – We’ve heard from the Gay community that since their lifestyle is genetic, they cannot change. But the truth is homosexuality is a learned behavioral pattern and as such it can be forsaken and God can and will give to those who seek Him – the will and power to turn away from it. Indeed, there are many stories of those who turned from this great sin and evil lifestyle and found forgiveness and cleansing. God can and will meet every sinner with new life, hope and help. This is why Christians although we condemn the wicked sinful lifestyles of the sexually immoral and perverted followers of homosexuality. If they confess their sin to God, and desire to trust in Jesus Christ as their God and Savior – He will cleanse them and give them a new heart, meaning mind and desire, to be obedient to Him and His Word and ways. Indeed, every sinner who comes to Christ and trusts Him alone for help, hope and salvation experiences a NEW BIRTH that gives us a NEW NATURE that can and will life clean and godly.

If you as a listener are caught up in this deadly lifestyle, you need to know these myths and the truth that God loves you and all sinners, and regardless of the sins we practice, God can heal our souls and spirits and bring new life to love and honor Him. All that’s necessary is for you to be sick and tired of your sins, and to want to be cleansed and made whole. Why not call out to the Lord Jesus in a prayer such as,

Lord God, I’m a sinner and a prisoner in my wicked life and living. I confess it has been my choice and I now ask You Lord Jesus to free me and forgive my sins on the basis of the fact that the bible tells me  ¾ You died on a cross to pay for my sin. I need to be reborn and remade again. I need a new life, heart and mind to desire You and your righteousness. Grant me this as you’ve promised to all who trust in You, my Lord and God. Give me power to life clean and to be free from these sins by which  I’ve offended You. I ask this in the worthy Name of my God and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Friend, if you are willing to speak to God in this fashion and mean it with all your will, God promises to receive you and cleanse you. Hear then the Word of God to you today,

Ezek 18:31 (NIV)  Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die…?

Ezek 36:26 (NIV)  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

John 3:16 (NIV)  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Heb 9:14 (NIV)  How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

John 1:12 (NIV)  Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

Friend it matters not what your sin or sins are. In God’s eyes all sin has but one penalty. The Bible says,

Rom 3:23 (NIV)  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Rom 6:23 (NIV)  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But all your sins once and forever can be cleansed, “if” you are willing and sincere to trust Jesus Christ and receive God’s wonderful change. Indeed, millions have who now live new life in Christ. If you need help in this area or know of a loved one or friend who does. Contact the many organizations that can help them. Groups like Homosexuals Anonymous, or Exodus International, or ARM (AIDS Resource Ministries) can help homosexuals find their true heterosexuality, and their God Jesus Christ. For the Christian we must not “hate” those who are caught up this terrible lifestyle. Yes, we must hate their sin and the promotion of it, but we must love the sinner, and do everything in our power to help them, and protect them from harm and abuse. Moreover, we must be willing to speak out against these myths believed these days and guard and protect our children from the wicked promoters and predators of this lifestyle that seek them.  America my friend, is moving at lightening speed toward a society that approves of and even promotes homosexuality not realizing its deadly effect and worse God promised wrath and judgment against every nation that defies His Word on this matter. Listen to what God says,

Psa 9:17 (NIV)  The wicked return to the grave, all the nations that forget God.

Rom 1:24-27 (NIV)  Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 ..Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones... Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Jude 1:7 (NIV)  In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

Every society, that when it fully accepted homosexuality for life and living, God destroyed it. From Sodom and Gomorrah, to Greece and Rome – all are gone by the judgment of God. I believe American may be next. How God will decimate us I don’t know, it may be by a disease epidemic, national financial ruin, or unrecoverable military or terrorist attacks. It’s up to us to change this nation, and stem the immoral tide that is polluting and destroying us. Right now I believe only God can help us, and He has promised to do this through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Remember, changed hearts result in changed minds, and changed minds result in changed lives. May God so bless us with this for Jesus sake, Amen…

…The future of America is based strongly on its God given moral direction. If we continue to follow the route of the homosexual delusion and corruption we are finished. Or, we could rise up and turn away from it beginning with our own lethargy and use our freedoms to save our freedom.  But know this – it is up to you and me to change things. May God so grant this to us in the late hour of American history.
