 I’m Dennis Finnan, host and speaker on the World, the Word & You! Broadcast and in a moment we’ll talk about the greatest hoax of all foisted upon mankind – the theory of evolution…

…Today in the world of science there are two completely opposite and opposing theories of origins of all things. We call them the theory of evolution and the theory of Creationism. Although some have tried to bring the two together by such teachings as “Theistic Evolution” and “Progressive Creationism,” they miserably fail to do so, only creating further confusion, distrust and antagonism between the believers in both theories of origins. However, although the argument for or against either one will not be solved in the science lab of today or tomorrow, there is sufficient and growing evidence that leans very heavily towards supporting only one of these two theories of origins. Following one more moment of music I want to talk with you about the myths perpetrated in one of these theories, the theory of evolution, and why the truly intelligent and unbiased mind will see this as perhaps the greatest hoax ever foisted upon the mind of man. My message today is --  THE GREAT EVOLUTION HOAX. Stay tuned…

…Many school children, who are taught the theory of evolution exclusively in public school science classes, do not know or realize that the modern theory of evolution is a relatively new idea in the history of mankind. Until the 1800’s even brilliant scientists had no trouble accepting the biblical account of creation, which simply is told to us in the first verse of the first book of the Bible, God’s Word given to us by God Himself. Here we read in simplicity and fact:

Gen 1:1 ( NIV )  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The late Doctor Henry Morris, Ph.D, a great scientist in his own realms and theologian, wrote in his commentary on the Book of Genesis:

“The Book of Genesis gives vital information concerning the origin of all things¾and therefore the meaning of all things¾which would otherwise be forever inaccessible to man. The future is bound up in the past. One’s belief concerning his origin will inevitably determine his belief concerning his purpose and his destiny. A naturalistic, animalistic concept of beginnings specifies a naturalistic, animalistic program for the future. An origin at the hands of an omnipotent, holy, loving God, on the other hand, necessarily predicts a divine purpose in history and an assurance of the consummation of that purpose. A believing understanding of the Book of Genesis is therefore prerequisite to an understanding of God and His meaning to man.”

However, contrary to the writings of the Bible and its teachings on exclusivity of the creation of all things by an omnipotent eternal God, sinful fallen mankind which rejects God’s right to rule the universes has invented an alternate theory of origins called evolution. Julian Huxley, the famous evolutionist and atheist of the 20^th century, wrote a definition of evolution as follows:

“Evolution is a directional and essentially irreversible process occurring in time which in its course gives rise to… an increasingly high level of organization in its products… [of which] the reality is evolution, a single process of self-transformation.”

In more simple terms it can be stated…

Evolution is the belief and teaching that all things in existence from the planets and stars to the complexity of human life, come specifically from a random chance explosion, [THE BIG BANG THEORY] billions of years in the past, from of a kernel of energy, that exploded outwardly and expanded to form the universe and eventually all living matter.

Today, leading evolutionists consider it as a basic principle of continual development, of increasing order and complexity throughout the universe. All the complex elements of existence today, are said to have randomly developed from simpler elements, living organisms to have evolved from non-living chemicals, complex forms of life from simpler organisms, and even man himself to have gradually evolved from some kind of ape-like ancestor.

Thus, evolution is actually a complete world-view, an explanation of origins and meanings without the necessity of an omnipotent eternal and personal God who created and upholds all things. So then both theories of origins can never meet, nor can the world views they perpetrate, ever coexist together in peace and tranquility.

However, on today’s broadcast I make no apology that I believe in “Creationism,” as taught literally by the Bible and especially the book of Genesis and here’s why. If one studies evolution with an open and intelligent mind, one can see the many myths that surround its existence. So permit me to share with you what is often taught as proven fact and truth, when in reality it has no such evidence behind it at all.

EVOLUTIONARY MYTHS & FALSEHOODS

1. EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS CAME ABOUT BY A COSMIC EXPLOSION

This is called the “Big Bang” theory of origins of all things. Evolutionary scientists tell us that a lone single kernel of compressed energy, a cosmic egg if you wish, one moment exploded and began rapidly expanding, thus filling the “empty” universe with its stars, galaxies and planets. This mega blast happened some 12-15 billion years ago. From then on, with random processes, everything in the universe began its trek from the simple to complex order and being. But to accept this causes one to consider some important questions. First, do explosions ever increase order? Does energy alone produce order? For the evolutionist to believe this origin theory they have to answer these two questions with a resounding “yes”, which they cannot in honest reason and observation. Yet behind all this is the greater question – where did the original kernel of energy or cosmic egg come from? Did random change create energy? The first Law of Thermodynamics proves energy and matter cannot appear out of nothing. So this theory of origins by a “Big Bang” is utter nonsense and a myth. Besides the Bible says everything was created in an instant of time by God Himself (Psa. 8:3-4)

2. THE FOSSIL RECORD OF ONCE LIVING MATTER ATTESTS TO EVOLUTION

There is no end to the school textbooks teachings that vainly try to tell young minds that everywhere the fossil record of past life shows us how life evolved. Really? The truth is you can look in vain anywhere to try and find a fossil record of any life that transitioned from one kind to another. In fact the opposite is true. We find the fossil remains of early life is exactly like what is alive today. On my desk I have fossil remains of a starfish. It is proposed to be millions of years old. I also have a starfish of today that when you compare it they are exactly the same. No evolution there. But more than that, the fossil record does not provide evidence in support for Evolution. Actually, fossils are a terrible embarrassment to Evolutionary theory and offer strong support for the concept of Creation. In short, there is absolutely no evidence in the fossil record of evolution or transition from one form of life to another. This is a great myth perpetrated to try and make people believe there is no Creator God.

3. LIVING ANIMALS CONTAIN VESTIGIAL ORGANS THAT EVOLUTION ONCE USED IN THE PAST BUT LATER ABANDONED

Evolutionists used to claim that within our bodies there are organs and other structures that once served a purpose to our evolutionary ancestors but no longer does. These organs were called “vestigial organs.” However, over a hundred years ago a German scientist named Wiedersheim listed 180 supposed vestigial organs, including the tonsils, the appendix, the thymus gland, the pituitary gland, the pineal gland, and the coccyx, as useless to us today.

Yet today, we know that all these organs on his list serve a purpose. We could not survive without the pineal, thymus, and pituitary glands. Evolutionists today quietly have abandoned this, except for school textbooks which still teach this myth to school children!

4. SCIENCE HAS PROVEN THE U NIV ERSE AND LIFE TODAY ARE BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD

Of course for evolution to work, according to the faith of its followers, much time is needed for processes to carry out its plan and purpose. Therefore, evolutionary scientists have used radiometric dating to show the supposed age of matter. The dating of rocks, by the radioactive decay of certain minerals, is undoubtedly the main argument for the dogma of an old earth.

A great age is usually deduced by this system of dating things of the past. However, what the evolutionist doesn’t tell you is that this system of dating life and matter is terribly flawed and actually unreliable.  For example, new rock in the form of hardened lava flows produced estimated ages as great as 3 billion to 10.5 billion years, when they were actually less than 200 years old.

Evolutionist Frederick B. Jueneman summarizes the situation:

"The age of our globe is presently thought to be some 4.5 billion years, based on radio-decay rates of uranium and thorium. Such 'confirmation' may be short lived… There has been in recent years the horrible realization that radio-decay rates are not as constant as previously thought…”

All this adds up to the myth that the universe and all in it is billions of years old, the fact is we do not have any reliable means of dating ancient ages as previously thought.

Still there is another myth today that needs to be exploded.

5. THE STRUCTURAL AND BIOLOGICAL SIMILARITY OF MANY OF EARTH’S SPECIES OF LIFE SHOW PROOF OF EVOLUTION

 First of all, the fossil records lack of any transitional forms of life, debunk this teaching. Moreover, common ancestral similarities, point rather to a purposeful design and common designer rather than random chance evolution. There is absolutely no proof that such similarities resulted from the process of evolution.

All five of these things are evolutionary myths that continue to be propagated in teaching it to our young children in public schools. Although evolutionists confess that none of these things prove or even point to evolution, why not allow them to continue to reinforce it? This points strongly to the intellectual dishonesty of most proofs of evolution.

Yet, if one is honest and studies the world about us, they will see that everything points to the fact that all around us is the result of the purposeful wonder of a creative omnipotent Designer which the Bible calls God. This God has revealed Himself by giving His greatest creation, mankind, His Word and thoughts in the Christian Bible.

Of all things tested for truth and reliability, the Bible stands. There is no one, scientist or historian, who has ever proven that what was written in God’s Word was in error, in fact or history.

And so God’s Word proclaims:

Gen 1:1 ( NIV )  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth..

Jer 32:17 ( NIV )  "Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.

Heb 11:3 ( NIV )  By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Rom 1:20 ( NIV )  For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

Rom 1:28 ( NIV )  Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

2 Th 2:10-12 ( NIV )  and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

The Bible makes clear that the theory of evolution is a convenient way of attempting to explain away God’s great creation and our responsibility to our Creator. Evolution then is not science, but an evil rebellious philosophy of life that enables fallen sinful man to live his life as he pleases, doing the things he pleases although contrary and condemned by the Creator God Himself.

Again I make no apology for the fact that the teaching of evolution, which is scientifically improvable and frankly idiotic, is also the source of judgment against God’s greatest creation, the human race, which rejects Him and His Word. Such rejection, we are promised, will be met with judgment in eternity for all who embrace it. The Bible warns us,

2 Pet 3:10 ( NIV )  “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.”

Rom 2:5-8 ( NIV )  “But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 God "will give to each person according to what he has done…  8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”

While each of us has breath, we need to learn what God’s Word says about our creation and why we are here. It is God’s great plan to rescue fallen sinners from the judgment to come, to enjoy God’s presence and life eternal for the eons to come. However, only those who are saved from their sins and disobedient heart through Jesus Christ can enter this realm of safety and rescue.

God became a man, and walked this earth in human perfection, thus avoiding the wages of sin which is death. Being God and man, He went to the cross where God the Father punished Him for all the sins of all the world. Christ died for us, and through His death a righteous and holy God can forgive our sins and iniquities by payment of substitution. But none of it can be applied to our record of sin, except through receiving Jesus Christ into our lives as our God and Savior. Jesus call to you even to this day…

May God grant you open eyes to see the error of rejecting God’s creation, and worse, rejecting the offer of His Son Jesus Christ to save you for eternity; and may He give you faith to believe in His love and the wonders of so great salvation and creation itself.
