…Have you ever thought about what underlies the great controversy these days about the origin of all life? There are basically two views taught and believed, which we call the theory of “CREATION” and “EVOLUTION.” These two areas, are hotly debated by scientists and philosophers these days and even has caused a ruckus in the educational systems of our nation. Without trying to inject any particular religious faith, honest scientists have come to the conclusion that all things that exist could not possibly be, without an “INTELLIGENT DESIGNER” of some sort, be it an advanced race of beings who through “Panspermia” seeded this planet with life, or a transcendent Omnipotent Being we call God who created all things. And, opposed to all that is, the theory that life and all that exists is simply the product of random chance in a mindless universe that came about by an accidentally huge explosion of eternally existing matter called the BIG BANG. This theory of origins, is popularly called “Evolution.” Now both of these viewpoints explaining the origin of life and our universe, are diametrically opposed not only in theory, but practical ways of life and living. However, today I want to share with you why evolution and the way of life it spawns, cannot be true no matter what so-called evidences are presented as scientific proofs  -- for in our universe there are two unalterable laws that rule exclusively in all life and existence that confirm this to us all. After another musical moment I tell you all about it…

…Have you ever wondered why in our enlightened 21^st century, we still are plagued with evil that comes from the life and living of mankind? Probably, “the most basic reason for the modern widespread rebellion against traditional values in every realm—social, moral, political, educational, religious—is the widespread impression that Biblical principles have been outdated by the discoveries of modern science.” This has come about in the last one hundred and fifty years by the widespread belief that there is no supernatural omniscient God who created all things, and to whom we are accountable. This belief, called evolution, claims to be the unquestioned scientific answer to prove the falsity of the “unscientific” beliefs of Intelligent Design or Creationism.

The fact is, however, that true science has always confirmed creationism and it revelatory book, the Bible! Today people have been hoodwinked to believe that evolution is true science where creation is nonsense. However evolution is not science but “Scientism” (the extension of scientific theories to promote a godless philosophy and meaning for life and living). Scientism, a godless religion, is dedicated to disproving all the Bible teaches about our accountability to a Creator God who maintains all life and living.

However, there remains two points all evolutionists cannot get around, no matter how they try, for these two points absolutely and unequivocally deny any possibility of reality to belief in the “random chance” origin of all life and existence. What are these two points? They are called the LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS. Now, there are two major laws that all true science knows about and understands which cannot be altered in any way, in our universe. These laws have always been here, and they work ruthlessly and effectively, day after day as time goes on. Scientifically, hey can be observed and tested, and cannot be denied. Let me explain them to you in the simplest terms for all to comprehend. Now the first Law of Thermodynamics is called,

1. THE LAW OF ENERGY CONSERVATION 

This is an unalterable law that states “everything that exists does so in a closed system.” This law deals with the entity known as “energy,” which includes all the phenomena of the physical universe. All processes are basically interchanges of energy—even matter itself is fundamentally a type of energy, which can, under the right circumstances, be converted into other forms. The total amount of energy and matter in the Universe remains constant, merely changing from one form to another. So, the first Law of Thermodynamics (Conservation) states that energy is always conserved; it cannot be created or destroyed. Now the second Law of Thermodynamics is called,

2. THE LAW OF ENTROPY OR ENERGY DECAY 

This is also an unalterable law of science that reveals: "in all energy exchanges, if no energy enters or leaves the system, the potential energy of the state will always be less than that of the initial state." This is also commonly referred to as “Entropy.” For example a watch spring driven watch, when wound, will run until the potential energy in the spring is completely converted, and not again until outside energy is reapplied to the spring to rewind it. Since the first Law of Thermodynamics says there is no new energy that enters our system of existence, everything is like that watch spring, once wound, is in the process of being expended or winding down. Now in our universe, in this process of energy transfer, some energy will dissipate as heat. Entropy is a measure of such dissipating disorder. It is this initially charged flow of energy that maintains all order and life in our universe. Entropy of course always wins, when organisms and matter cease to take in new energy they wear out and die.

Thus, all life processes are conservative and disintegrative, not creative and integrative. The Bible, instead of being discredited by science, actually proves real science. The Two Laws of Thermodynamics are confirmed in the pages of the Scripture, thousands of years before they were known and understood by mankind. For example, God gave mankind an illustration of the first law when He instituted the observance of a Sabbath Day. The Bible says,

Gen 1:1 ( NIV )  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Exo 20:11 ( NIV )  For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth… He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Heb 1:3 ( NIV )  The Son [Jesus Christ] is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by His [Jesus Christ’s] powerful word…”

Heb 4:3 ( NIV )  “… His work has been finished since the creation of the world.

This first Law speaks of a TOTAL CREATION, originally completed, and now sustained by God’s infinite power. The Bible says God created all things that exist in what we call seven solar days. When he finished, He “ceased” that is rested from any more creation or placement of “energy.” Our entire universe is just that, a once-for-all, “charged” system of creative energy that is running down.

Thus, God is not now creating anything, but neither is He allowing anything to be annihilated, for He is maintaining everything that exists for His purposes (Heb. 1:3; Col. 1:16-17). So again, the first Law of Thermodynamics, the Law of Energy Conservation is clearly revealed to us by the Creator in His Word, and being fully in accord with the principles found in science today.

Moreover, the second Law of Thermodynamics is also affirmed in the Word of God. For instance we are told,

Psa 102:26 ( NIV )  “They [heavens] will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing… they will be discarded.”

Rom 8:21-22 ( NIV )  “ the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”

Gen 3:17 ( NIV )  GOD SAID: "Cursed is the ground because of you [Adam]; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

This second Law of Thermodynamics known as the “law of decay” or “entropy” again is exactly confirmed in Scripture. God’s Word tells us everything that exists is wearing down and out. In the Bible it is called the “bondage of corruption,” or literally decay under which the entire universe is “groaning and suffering” (Rom 8:21 -22). This is nothing less that God’s revealed “curse” upon existence (Gen 3:17 ). Science can observe this Law as all of us do too in everything around us. All things wear out and die, nothing in existence can escape this law of decay and corruption, and breakdown of moving from the complex to the simple.

However, we are also told this second law of decay exists because of man’s sin. God originally intended that He maintain the universe forever in a perfect state. God being the outside energy force, would keep the “spring” of life wound and running in perfect condition. However, mankind being created in the image of God and given free will to chose life and living for himself, chose sin, that is to unhook the lifeline of God’s sustaining power, and go it on his own. So the universe was “let go,” and once wound, now winds down with increasing disorder and death, that is until God again comes to flood the universe with His creative energy.

In Scripture, we are told there is a day coming when God will actually destroy the now corrupted and created universe, and using His omnipotent energy recreate all things new and in perfect order. However, this time around, God will sustain it in perfection with perfect beings, so no “curse” will be upon it. Who will live in this new universe and existence? Scripture says only those who have turned to the one true God of the Christian Bible, acknowledging their sins and disobedience and turning their lives over to His Son Jesus Christ, as their Savior from their sins and acknowledge Him as their Creator God come in the flesh.

Now back to the so-called science of evolution. Remember the definition of science. The Oxford Dictionary defines science as: “a branch of study… concerned either with a body of demonstrated truths or with observed facts systematically classifieds… under general laws which include trustworthy methods for the discovery of new truth within its own domain.”

So then, “true” science must have three things operational to be valid. 

(1) All things examined must be “observable.” 
(2) All things examined must be “demonstrable,” 
(3) All things examined must be “repeatable.” 

So my friend, face the fact that the THEORY OF EVOLUTION fails on all three counts! 

So does Creationism contradict science? The answer is no. It demonstrates the reality of the Laws of Science, whereby evolution contradicts them. The main basis behind the theory of evolution is belief that present processes are “eternal” processes, and therefore they explain everything that has ever been or ever will be in terms of what exists now! This is the philosophy of “Uniformitarianism” and is the ruling philosophy in the modern scientific establishment. But this assumption itself violates these two most fundamental laws of science. So evolution cannot be true by the Laws of science.

Now I’ve heard the arguments against this, by evolutionists who say, the 2^nd Law of Thermodynamics doesn’t contradict evolution. They say, “in many cases order does spontaneously arise from disorder: for seeds grow into trees, eggs develop into chicks, etc.” However, that argument is ludicrous. The seeds and embryo’s are not disorder,” but intricately designed order or created entities that are programmed to multiply by the energy built within itself. This of course came from a Designer, not random chance nothingness.

Thus the basic framework of true science, is absolutely confirmed by Biblical revelation, and it leads us to the very first words ever written and the most important truth ever comprehended:

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).

Today Bible believing Christians are often mocked by evolutionary scientists who claim their theory alone is science and “Creationism” is nothing more than religious philosophy. Actually the opposite is true and deadly too. Do you realize that evolution is actually a complete philosophical and religious world-view. Yes, as Dr. Henry Morris in his writings confirms when he said,

“Evolutionary philosophy is the intellectual basis of all the anti-Christian and anti-God systems that have plagued mankind for centuries. It served Hitler as the rationale for Nazism and Marx as the supposed scientific basis for communism. It is the basis of the various modern methods of psychology and sociology that treat man merely as a higher animal and which have led to the mis-named “new morality” and ethical relativism. Its whole effect on the world and mankind has been harmful and degrading. Jesus said: “A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit” (Matthew 7:18 ). The evil fruit of the evolutionary philosophy is evidence enough of its ultimate origin in Satan’s age-long rebellion against his Creator.”[1]

Moreover, the innocent but brutal death of over 47 millions pre-born American children through the wicked and evil act of abortion, is fueled directly by the teachings of evolution. If there is anything to be eradicated in our society today that will cure the ailments of a multitude of evils that plague us, it is to outlaw evolution as a science and teaching to our children.

Now some of you will not like what I’m about to say, but I must speak the truth. For any Christian today, to send their children to our secularized, anti-Christian government sponsored public schools which demands students to be indoctrinated with the exclusivity of evolutionary teaching, I believe, is a crime against humanity and sin against God. The Bible says,

Jer 10:2 ( NIV )  This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations [heathen] …”

Lev 20:23 ( NIV )  You must not live according to the customs of the nations I am going to drive out before you. Because they did all these things, I abhorred them.

Col 2:8 ( NIV )  See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

When we allow our children to be indoctrinated with the false and deadly philosophyof secularism, that says there is no God, we soon begin to live that way. Evolution teaches there is no difference between a slug and a man, between a dog, a cat, a rat nor a human being. There is no higher law that rules our lives, and there is no moral basis for life and living apart from your own ideas and goals for life. 

Are we not raising a generation of people now who will act out that philosophy in their lives and living to the peril of our nation? I need not quote the statistics of violent crimes and murders, sexual deviance, promiscuity and predators, the growing mental instability and illness of our youth, the major thefts, dishonesty, the rise in women and child abuse, the list goes on. But all of it, yes all can be attributed to belief and life styles based on evolution that says – THERE IS NO GOD!

But those who believe in “Creationism” and the Bible, realize we are accountable to God, His laws of morality, righteousness, decency and order and abuse and rebellion will bring judgment in this life and the next. Such people live decency, morally and righteously to the betterment of life and society. I challenge anyone to deny this.

So what remains, is for you my listener to consider your life and living. On what basis is it founded? The Bible says,

Prov 14:12 ( NIV )  There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Evolution leads to sin and death in this life and forever, but Creationism leads to God’s blessings and rewards in this life and the life to come. I choose the latter and have for over 35 years enjoyed God’s love, care and blessing, and a life and family that brings me honor and joy. Today the offer still stands while our universe is wearing out and running down to extinction. God offers to save you from your sins and grant you a new life, eternal life and a new heart and spirit to live in obedience to God’s laws and ways. All you need to do is look up to Heaven, and see Jesus in your mind’s eye and acknowledge what the Bible says about Him. Jesus Christ is God come to earth in the flesh, to save us from our sins. His perfect sinless life, He offered up on a cross as He died there in payment for the sins of the world. God’s laws says, “all souls that sin shall die.” Christ’s death having infinite life as the Creator himself was full payment for the sin of all mankind. 

However, no one can obtain this forgiveness except by receiving into their heart and life, the Lord Jesus Christ as their God and Savior. Simply through a prayer of faith and confession of sin, God will hear you and grant you His loving forgiveness. I know of no one who came to Christ and received Him who ever would deny Him or turn away from His love and blessings. Evolution offers nothing for life, except sin and death. Creationism offers hope and life eternal through Jesus Christ, the Creator and Savior of the world. Friend, it’s your choice. Choose life through Jesus Christ.
